Dr. Barton Mapes, DDS
Dentist
Dr. Barton Mapes brings a lifelong passion for dentistry, people, and science to his role at Landmark Dental. In 2001, Dr. Mapes began working at the same clinic he’d been visiting since he was a child. His early experiences with his childhood dentist sparked a deep interest in oral health and the human connection behind every smile.
He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2007 and has been practicing ever since.
Known for his warm, collaborative approach, Dr. Mapes values the strong team dynamic at Landmark Dental and the shared sense of accomplishment that comes with helping others. Whether he’s restoring your smile’s beauty or function, he believes that dentistry is most powerful when it’s built on trust, empathy, and conversation.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Mapes enjoys an active family life centered around his kids’ sports, whether he’s coaching on the field or cheering from the sidelines. He and his family stay busy with activities like golfing, downhill skiing, and spending time outdoors together. A Wisconsin native, he’s also a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan.

Shelli
Registered Dental Hygienist
Shelli brings a passion for both oral health and personal connection to her role as a registered dental hygienist at Landmark Dental. Her journey in dentistry began early, as she started working as a dental assistant at just 16 years old. Five years later, she earned her degree in dental hygiene from Monroe Community College and launched her professional career.
Shelli loves helping patients achieve their best oral health, but what she values just as much is building genuine relationships with them. She takes pride in creating a comfortable environment where patients feel heard, cared for, and encouraged in their dental wellness journey.
When she’s not in the office, Shelli enjoys staying active through fitness and travel, and she never misses a good country music concert. One of her favorite escapes is boating in the beautiful 1000 Islands. A fun fact? Shelli has a deep love for her church and traditional Bible hymns, which bring her peace and joy.
Diane
Business Manager
Diane brings decades of experience and heartfelt care to her role as business manager at Landmark Dental. Since beginning her dental career in 1983, Diane has worked in a variety of practices, continually growing her expertise through hands-on training and ongoing education.
Diane’s favorite part of her job is meeting one-on-one with patients to discuss treatment plans and payment options, making sure they feel informed, comfortable, and cared for. She also keeps the practice running smoothly behind the scenes by managing billing, certifications, and supporting her team wherever needed.
She’s proud to work in an office where every team member treats patients with compassion, from the very first phone call to the moment they walk through the door.
Outside of work, Diane leads an active and joyful life. She loves walking, Zumba, boating, and spending quality time with family and friends, especially her grandson. One of her most meaningful hobbies is making beaded bracelets adorned with crosses; each one is sold to raise money for charity, with the hope of blessing someone along the way.
Danielle
Administrative Assistant
Danielle brings a heart for service and a love of learning to her role as administrative assistant at Landmark Dental. With a background in private duty nursing and years of experience in patient care, Danielle is passionate about helping people feel informed, comfortable, and cared for, whether she’s answering insurance questions, managing treatment plans, or welcoming patients at the front desk.
Danielle began her dental career in 2021, having transitioned from over a decade of caring for her special-needs niece. That experience nurtured her dedication to health and wellness, leading her to the dental field, where she continues to support patients in meaningful ways every day. Through on-the-job training, she has mastered everything from scheduling to financial coordination, all while prioritizing patients' needs and comfort.
Outside the office, Danielle enjoys hiking, crocheting (a skill she proudly taught herself), and tending to her garden. On rainy days, you’ll likely find her curled up with a good book or movie. She’s also an enthusiastic supporter at her daughter’s and extended family's school and sports events. A lover of classic rock and country rock, Danielle cheers for both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Yankees with equal passion.
Her favorite part of working at Landmark Dental? “Knowing we’re helping people improve their oral and overall health, and making sure every patient walks away feeling fully informed and supported.”
